Well, despite our own intention of posting, life truly got in the way.   We have been working through the home inventory, the removal of salvageable and non… Our vehicles (rentals) and trying to find the new normal.  

We‘ve had some folks reach out and support us in numerous ways… financial, spiritual, friendship, kindness… In ways that lead us to a community that we never expected… Neither of us truly feel comfortable asking for help, but your community knows when you need it and responds in kind.  

We will make no secret of the fact we have no idea where tomorrow leads and, this process is slow and long, but it really counts when your community shows up. We have filed all the major claims (and opportunists have showed up), house is being measured for replacement value and the cars are gone.  We have a road ahead of us; salvage, worth it, not…   It’s a road… we will travel it.  But for tomorrow, we are safe, we are cooking, we are being us.  Many food challenges to come and hopefully many posts that you will want to read!
